Moxibustion

This ancient Chinese treatment consists of the application of heat, in the form of slowly combusting medicinal herbs, to specific acupuncture points on the body. It can be used as an alternative or in addition to acupuncture to enhance its effects in an appropriate setting. It is commonly used as a "tonifying" method for deficiency conditions.

Cupping

Another Traditional Chinese Medicine therapy involving the application of heated "cups" to the body to facilitate the movement of Qi and body fluids and remove damp and other toxins to promote health. It is used in musculoskeletal injuries as well as acute and chronic health conditions.

Heat Therapy

Traditional Chinese Medicine: use of an infrared heat lamp for the application of heat to manage pain from injuries and to facilitate healing. It can also be used to improve the physiological functions of the body (e.g. digestion and menstruation) in cases of deficiency.
